The HPerformance DQ500 transmission catchtank prevents oil vapours from being emitted from the transmission breather during launch control starts or under heavy acceleration. The catchtank also allows the oil collected in it to run back into the transmission. Engine washes are still possible, as the design prevents water from entering.
